Irene Arias Hofman is a senior executive and CFA Charterholder with deep expertise across finance, venture capital, and private equity. From 2018 to 2025, she served as CEO of IDB Lab, transforming it into a global innovation platform supporting more than 1,100 startups and 115 venture capital funds.
Earlier at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), she managed loan and equity portfolios exceeding $16 billion and pioneered local capital market offerings across emerging economies. Irene has held senior global governance roles, and is recognized for combining technical rigor with strong institutional leadership.
MARA BALESTRINI
Mara Balestrini is a technologist and system builder focused on aligning emerging technologies with institutional strategy and governance. She holds a PhD in Human–Computer Interaction and has led large-scale digital transformation initiatives across governments, multilaterals, and the private sector.
As former CTO of IDB Lab, she led its end-to-end digital transformation across the full investment lifecycle. She later served as CEO of LNET, a blockchain infrastructure for institutional actors, with deployments in payments, identity, tokenization, and traceability. Mara teaches Technology Governance at ESADE and serves on the Board of Fundación BBVA Microfinanzas.

Alejandro Cremades is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and capital markets advisor with extensive experience across venture capital, M&A, and ecosystem development. He is the founding partner of AC8 Partners, which has advised more than 300 companies globally on venture, growth, and cross-border transactions.
He is also the co-founder of Onevest, a VC-backed platform acquired after scaling into a leading entrepreneurial community. Earlier in his career, Alejandro practiced law at King & Spalding and has advised governments on entrepreneurship, capital formation, and innovation policy.
